Position Title: Director, KLLM Driving Academy, INC

Position Location: Richland, MS 

Full or Part Time: Full Time

Additional Information: Report directly to VP of Driver Resources

 

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution of higher learning
• Five years of experience in administration with a Commercial Freight Carrier
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License

Job Description:

• Oversee and manage academy instructor staff
• Manage, assign, counsel and facilitate 50+ students daily/weekly
• Direct the activities of the Hinds/KLLM Training Center and make certain that a comprehensive CDL program is carried out for students
• Develop an annual list of division objectives for the upcoming year 
• Annually conduct a student performance review. Recommend in writing after the final performance review the retention, termination, and/or success for each student
• Maintain spending levels within the approved budget
• Organize and direct faculty meetings
• Belong to and support professional and business associations in order to represent Hinds Community College/KLLM
• Participate in pre-service and in-service personnel development programs
• See that proper personnel records are maintained
• Work with faculty, & adjunct trainers, to see that quality instruction is available to students
• Prepare and submit various reports as needed
• Take an active part in the promotion of Hinds Community College/KLLM
• Maintain accurate inventory on all equipment
• Work with administration on long range planning for facilities and instruction
• Assist in maintaining current course policy sheets and see they are distributed to students
• Coordinate student and faculty evaluation processes
• Coordinate FMCSA 2020 Classes
